Displaying the diversity of a band whose players are influenced by blues, rock, R&B, jazz and zydeco, The ColdRail Blues Band is laying down a solid fun groove and bringing new life to static feet everywhere they play. Celebrating their 12th year, members of The ColdRail Blues Band are no strangers to the local music scene, each having played with many other people and groups over the years. Still each was looking for an outlet for the music that inspired them most. From this, The ColdRail Blues Band was born.
"We've been really fortunate finding the right people who enjoy being together and creating fun music. Adding depth to our vocal line-up is Gina Taruscio. It’s great having another singer to co-front songs and provide strong back up harmonies. I love that our voices really blend well together. And our drummer, Michael Gourley, is talented, fun and probably one of the easiest going people I've ever met. We had the pleasure of picking up the the multi-talented David Summers who covers a wide array of tonal palettes on the harp, keyboards and accordion. David has great ears, musical sensibility and is a blast to collaborate with! The newest addition to the band is our bassist, Kasey Dennler. Kasey is that quintessential mix of chill persona and laying down a solid bottom end groove".
